The strongest point of the hotel is the central position, the city center is a walking distance. There is a lot of bars, pubs, street food restaurants in the area. The room was clean, functional and quiet, maybe a little smaller that i espect from a mercure. The staff speaks english good, and was prepared. In general is a standard... More

I just got back from Eastern Europe and our last stay was in this lovely hotel in Budapest. The location was excellent with access to public transportation just minutes away. The room was roomy, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of foods and I was able to eat vegetables as well as fruit, eggs and fromage... More

(even an upgrade rooms). Hotel very central and easy to get to on foot/bus/tram or metro. Rooms clean and breakfast very plentifull and varied. We were a party of... More

This hotel does what it says on the box. Not the best I have stayed in but by no means the worst its a little tired at the edges and the rooms are a bit small. However the staff were helpful and by pre booking good value. All in all I would recommend it. They do however need to improve... More

What is exceptional is the service at the front desk, especially, Mr Mathias. Very helpful and patient. Room is a little on the small side with only one power outlet. If one need to use more , one has to give up watching TV. Chambermaid service can be better. There was no change of soap and shampoo. Cost of breakfast... More

This was one of the worst hotel's I have ever entered in Budapest. After my reservation was cancelled accidentially in Mercure Korona I was moved to Metropol. In case you are comming by car, you have to study the map precisy as the garage is from the side where lot's of oneway streets are and no proper signs. The entrance... More

Friendly and professional reception, clean rooms at a reasonable rate (internet booking), but EUR 14 for one breakfast is very (too) expensive and the airconditioning equipment (which was on the roof I believe) was noisy.

There's nothing happening right next to the hotel but we walked almost everywhere and it didn't take long to get places. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast sis nothing special but very complete with fruit, eggs, bread, vegetables, etc. The rooms are very small but clean, I would definitely stay here again.

Can't say much good or about my stay. The Hotel is close to the Underground station which is two stops to the Danube River. The area feels a little run down with street hawkers around the streets and underground station. Rooms were small but perfectly functional including TV, free wi-fi, en-suite, mini bar. If you have booked room only don't... More
