This is a smart and elegant hotel 4 star in a fantastic and convenient central location. The Astoria metro stop is 50 yards away. We booked as always through GTA Hotels and got a great deal on 2 superior rooms - 4 nights for the price of 3. Both my wife and myself and our 2 friends had beautifully appointed... more

Stayed 4 nights late October. The best feature is the hotel's location - so central that we were able to walk everywhere. We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the corner where the main roads cross. It was clean if a bit shabby with basic facilities - TV with BBC World News, hairdrier , useful safe for valuables... more

Although the standard rooms are basic and would benefit from a lick of paint, they are really clean and well looked after. Hotel staff were really helpful/friendly and check in/out was quick and simple. We went on a B&B basis and the food was lovely. Their was a huge variety of food to suit everyone, which was fresh and tasty.... more

Very lovely hotel, old world ambience with very good service, but beautifully maintained. The breakfast is a little pricey but does save you dragging around. If you really don't want to fork out 14 euro there are plenty of cafes around that will do a breakfast for 2 euro up. The beauty of this hotel has to be the Mirror... more

A good hotel but not excellent. It is old and has charm. We had a problem with our booking but overall it was good. It was clean and spacious but the best thing about the hotel was the location. If you can get a good deal, go for it - otherwise I don't think it was great value, we paid... more

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights during the sziget festival - great location, rooms were really spacious and clean, and hotel itself is beautiful. We booked it in june and got a great deal - €60 a night for the room. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to fellow travelers visiting... more

We booked this hotel for the first week of August and stayed here for 6 nights. As other reviewers have indicated there are two types of rooms in this hotel - economy ones and renovated, more expensive ones.We had an economy room at the back of the hotel-for a rate of 40 euro including breakfast. The room was in the third floor... more

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights while attending the Sziget festival on Obuda Island (too old to festival camp for that length of time!!). We arrived at the hotel 3 hours late due to flight delays and were checked in swiftly and politely in wonderful, ornate reception area. Made way to room on 4th floor and were pleasantly... more

We stayed here for 5 nights only because we got a very good rate - 50 euros a night, breakfast excluded. I have mixed feelings about this hotel, but I incline to recommend it due to its location - 5 min from Vaci Utca and Elizabeth Bridge. The room was really big, we had 2 bathrooms, I think it was... more

I was there for 5 nights. Nice old hotel. My room was huge and clean. The toilet fixtures are dated but everything else is fine. Great looking lobby and old-school restaurant inside. Location is great--close to streetcars, subway, and a walk to Vaci street action and all interesting sites. more
