We stayed in this hotel at the beginning of October and the weather was still hot. However the hotel turns the air conditioning off at the end of September so the room was hot. As mentioned in a previous review the traffic & construction was really noisy so opening the window was not an option. We found the noise to... more

Room very nice and comfortable but very warm, and air conditioning only turned on in summer. Lots of road works going on outside of hotel so very noisy from 5am in the morning, so could not keep window open because of noise. Bar and restaurant not open so could not get a drink or any ice for drink in room,... more

The Hotel Erzsebet is in a ideal location, fine and central for all the sights of Budapest. We had a very enjoyable few days there and found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful, the room we had was at the back of the hotel and was of a good size and very comfortable ,quiet and clean. The breakfasts... more

I booked this hotel through Europeandestinations.com. The hotel is in a fantastic location--you are close to everything there. I am glad I stayed there and not in Buda. When I arrived at the hotel, I was given a room on the 8th floor. The room was good size, and the room was spotless it was so clean. The bathroom was... more

We stayed in this hotel when visiting the Christmas markets. While the price and location were excellent, we were quite disappointed by the accommodation. Our room was too warm and when we tried to alter it, we were told that the controls were centrally located and we would have to wait until the following morning for it to be adjusted.... more

This hotel is in an excellent position, walking distance to the Danube and sightseeing, but do not stay in Autumn. Even though it was still 27degrees, they turn the air-con off on Sept 30 (end of summer) and no amount of pleading encouraged them to turn it on 2 days later! The room was quite large, but they are miserly.... more

My trip started in mid September 2008.The hotel was in a very central location close to the Danube River and accessible to shopping and dining. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was a good size, clean with crisp bed linens and a lovely bathroom with a bath tub. My only complaint was the air conditioning did not cool... more

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Erzsebet with a tour group. A triple room was located on the street side on the 7th floor. Although I thought it would be far enough away from street noise, that was not the case. Presently, there is road construction contributing along with car traffic preventing any chance of leaving a window opened.... more

I recently stayed 5 nights at the Erzsebet and I am very happy with my choice. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The room was very hot but the quiet and efficient air conditioning dealt with it effectively. It was amazingly quiet for a central city hotel. No traffic noise at all even with the window open.... more
