The room will make you stay out as much as possible. Small, ancient windows, smelling of cleaning agents but clean enough. The beds are hard as rock, but I've slept incredibly well on them. Bathrooms are at the end of the hallway. They are used by anyone so their cleanliness will vary by the degree of civilization of the other... more

This hostel is a clean, comfortable place to spend a few nights. All rooms are private, and the bathroom facilities are shared. The bathrooms are cleaned every day rather vigorously, along with the rooms. All the staff that we met were very friendly and the front desk is very helpful around things to do and see in Budapest, which is... more

Cash was stolen from my locked room while I slept. The money was counted on the evening before I went to sleep and by the next morning it was gone. Scarey that you can't even sleep in a locked room without someone ripping you off. This was reported but the hotel said there was nothing they could do...... more

Friendly and mostly helpful staff. My room was what you would expect for a cheap place to stay, however, the bed was quite uncomfortable (could have done with a decent mattress or at least some more padding). It was a good size for a hostel, shared facilities are clean. Breakfast was decent enough, cold meats, rolls, bread, jams, 4 types... more

very nice hostel, for people who don`t want to spend a lot of money. it has 3 stores and the rooms are big and full of light. the view from the room is not extraordinary but you don`t need that if you`re planning to travel through the city a lot. it`s located near the main train station (keleti) - a... more

I stayed in this hostel for 4 nights with 8 of my friends and had a great time. It is located slightly outside the town centre but with a quick bus link to and from Astoria (which we could always walk to after a night out). The man at reception was really friendly and arranged for taxis to collect us... more

This is a budget hostel in every sense. The rooms are incredibly small and the place is noisy. Things were at least clean (although houskeeping on hit my room once in 4 nights) Expect to have a lot of young (loud) travellers staying there and be aware that the other half of the building is a school so forget sleeping... more

Ok, the hostel itself was really good, the people were really friendly and was in an excellent location of Budapest, easy to reach to cultural, sightseeing attractions which are walking distance. Very close to Heroes Square which is a must see. Only problems I had with the hotel was the bed was really really uncomfortable, very hard and not easy... more

This was our 4th stop during our tour of Europe, and was by far the worst place we stayed in. We arrived at the hotel (ha, hotel - it was a hostel with delusions of grandeur) to be greeted by two unpleasent, unsmiling, unhelpful men who were really rather rude. The room was more like a prison cell, the bed... more

This is a great budget hotel. Very warm and helpful staff, speaking several languages. Free internet. Large rooms, wide corridors, plenty of bathrooms, nice breakfast. It is 5 blocks from Keleti Station, buses stop at corner, quiet, old fashioned by comfortable. Great stay for single woman. City park is 2 blocks away. more
