When ever I speak with friends or strangers about Beautiful Budapest , the first thing that comes to mind , Boutique Hotel , Budapest. It has a welcoming lobby , very bright and always smells fresh and clean. This property is very very clean , the whole Hotel is spotless. The members of staff , are very smartly dressed, polite , and very willing to help . Another mention for Joseph , who was mentioned , in another of my reviews. Joseph is very polite and has excellent local knowledge. He helped me plan my trip to Santandre. The rooms are spotless, very comfortable beds with very comfortable pillows. There is a coffee machine , also mini bar. The bathroom is great with a very powerful shower. Now the Cocktails , in this very welcoming bar area , are out of this world . Just sit back after a long day of sightseeing and compare experiences with other guests. The Hotel is very central with a nice Thai Restaurant across the Road . Around the corner is the famous For Sale Pub . A few Hundred meters is the Liberty Bridge , the Danube . In front of your eyes you have the most beautiful views of Buda Castle , Fishermans Bastion and so forth. Saying good bye today , I will return. Highly recommended.

Spent 4 night here and it was fantastic. Room was exactly what you need for a quick trip. Breakfast was great. Everyone at reception were super helpful, bar staff were always attentive and quick with your order. Located next to the river and a major road with buses and trams, we were never short of options, surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants, gave us the perfect base to explore.

Smooth check in, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely little bar, and we tried out some of the cocktails which were all amazing, again all the bar staff were very nice. The room was quite small, but very clean and spot on for what we were after. Breakfast was a variety of everything, no complaints from us! The hotel is close to the river, shops, cafes, bars and landmarks. Really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you Boutique Hotel Budapest.

Super location, great staff, great room a tad small but everything you need and comfortable bed. Two separate duvets so no tug of war in the middle of the night. We had been on 5th floor, the rooms are quite warm but ok with window open. No problem with noise and the breakfast has everything you expect. Lovely little hotel would recommend no problem.

Just returned after staying at the hotel for four nights (Monday-Friday in late February) to celebrate our anniversary and as I am a light sleeper requested a high room in a quiet area! The hotel is spotlessly clean, well furnished the staff are polite and efficient and the hotel is in a great location for exploring the City and the WiFi is pretty good too. Despite our request of a quiet room we were allocated a fourth floor room, which was situated right next to the stairs and lift! When you exit the lift there are five rooms crammed directly in front of you in a small square corridor. Our tiny room faced onto the courtyard which was fine but the air conditioning wasn’t working (we were told during the winter and because of the age of the building it was off, but we have seen other reviews whereby they could regulate the temperature so someone is wrong)! No air con led to our room being unbearably warm so we had to have the window open! But that brought additional issues and the joy of the noise from the walkway / corridor in the courtyard which lead to other rooms. We experienced doors slamming shut and long conversations and laughter echoing around the area early in the morning as well as having to listen to TV’s from the block next to the hotel! Despite hanging the “Do Not Disturb” on our door every night the noise when people returned in the early hours was unbelievable and the walls are that bad we could actually hear the people urinating into the toilet and flushing the chain regularly throughout the night and until the very early hours. Then came the cleaners banging, laughing and joking every morning, so the “Do not Disturb” signs the hotel leave you to put on your doors are not even followed by their own staff so no hope for any of the guests taking notice! The room itself was well equipped with everything you need and was spotlessly clean. The room was tiny, which although the m2 is clear on the website you can’t see or judge how small from the website photos. The beds are ok but not brilliant but when your partner moves or turns over the mattress ripples and so do you and the pillows are not great! Breakfast is ok and runs until 1030 hours, though the hot choice was barely warm on three of the four mornings that we went for breakfast (which was usually between 0930 - 1000). On our last day (Friday) we and another couple went for breakfast a little later (1010) and all the shafing dishes had been turned off (we witnessed the staff switching them back on as we sat down) some items had been removed, and the coffee machine had been switched off! Some items were brought back out on request, but the hot items especially the scrambled egg and bacon were too cold for consumption! On a positive note the dining area was impeccably clean, it was clear the staff worked hard to keep it that way throughout the long breakfast period. As mentioned initially, the hotel is in a great location and convenient to explore the City, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops close by. But….. the hotel is without doubt the noisiest we have ever stayed in! The rooms are paper thin and we can honestly say we failed to get ONE proper nights sleep and we were absolutely desperate to get home! We were a little shocked also not to have been asked if we had, had a good time or if everything had been ok with our stay when we checked out, so never got the opportunity to discuss or share our experience! Sadly… We would not return to the Boutique Hotel and given our sleepless experience we definitely couldn’t and wouldn’t recommend it especially if you’re a light sleeper!

Dear IJPMOT, First and foremost, thank you for your recent stay at our Boutique Hotel Budapest and for sharing your honest experiences. While, it is encouraging that you enjoyed the good location and were content with the spotless accommodation as well as friendly hospitality, I was truly saddened to learn that your stay left a bit to be desired in some aspects. As for the room allocation, please be informed that we were not informed about your room preference. We have not either received a request through the booking channel. What a pity that you did not have the chance to share your preferences upon arrival. I am terribly sorry that we unfortunately missed the opportunity to inquire about your stay upon check-out, however as committed hoteliers we believe that in the case of service shortcoming we can do the most and turn it back while the guest is staying with us. Feedback shared upon check-out and after departure are also much appreciated, but obviously that is too late to offer a room change. Guest satisfaction is more important than anything for us and we gladly take necessary extra miles to achieve it at the highest possible level. We would have been pleased to offer you a room move as well as to fulfill any breakfast wishes. Towards the end of breakfast time, if you consider that the egg dish is not warm or fresh enough, we are happy to prepare fresh one. This would not have been a problem. Your comments have been shared with relevant department heads for further improvements. Besides, I will even personally remind our maids to work as careful and discreet as possible. Lastly, it is true, central heating runs, we do not cool the rooms in winter, however heating can be completely switched off in the room if it is too warm. Please accept our sincerest apologies for all the inconveniences encountered and for your ruined rest which unfortunatley much affected your overall impression. This is totally understandable and I can only hope that my words can a bit ease your bad feelings. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future and to have the opportunity to demonstrate our sincere desire to offer you the outstanding service that Boutique Hotel Budapest is renowned for. All my best, Péter Vezekényi General Manager

Really pleased with this hotel. It's very well situated and in easy reach of the tram and metro systems. The staff are all really friendly and can't do enough for you. Breakfast has a vast selection of food, whether you like continental or British, it caters for everyone. Chose the filter coffee if you don't like strong coffee, as the machine delivers a very strong latte! My only criticism of this hotel would be the size of the rooms, I wish they were a little bigger around the bed. I slept on the side with the dressing table and its the chair there it's a bit cramped. Maybe a buffet would create more space as it could be tucked under! Also the dressing table mirror can not be used whilst sat at the dressing table, unless you're a giant. It needs lowering drastically as it serves no purpose being so high. These are ny only two small critisms of this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.
