A friend just invited me to visit spend a low-key weekend at this newly-opened guesthouse. I was a bit reluctant to agree as it is in the middle of nowhere, over 200 km from Budapest, but she argued with a pleasant scenery and home cooked, home-grown organic food.
And she was right, the hostess of Transylvanian origin spoilt us with organic health food cooked in front of us, fresh cow-milk, house wine and freshly baked bread in different flavors.
The site has 6 double rooms furnished IKEA-style, but it matches the design of the building, so it did not look out of place. Little things like bathroom shelves and reading lamps are missing, but they have just opened a couple of weeks ago. By the summer a community room is to be ready upstairs as well as the garden grill to be installed to prepare slow-food.
Everything was spotlessly clean, but as I said all brand new, so no wonder. By Hungarian standards it was not cheap, but the food, warm hospitality, clean...
