The Kolping is a huge hotel and apartman house complex a mile from Hévíz, in Alsópáhok. It is a family hotel and very child-friendly, with baby sitting services and activities for kids of all ages. We stayed there in May 2007 and loved the pools of which there were several, plus a sauna and other spa frills. Our room was not big but OK and they supplied us with several useful baby items and a cot. The clientele was mostly Hungarian families and German pensioners (don't ask me why, had to do with the Kolping network of hotels). Breakfast and dinner is in a huge dining hall where baby food is free (as all other food) and kids run screaming around. If you have kids, this is a great place, but don't come here for a romantic getaway. more
