“One of the Best hotels near the lake”

Hotel Balaton is the best option, if you are looking for a hotel near the lake. I stayed here with my brother for four days in January 2013. And, I must say the place is awesome! “Was "ok" for a weekend-stay”

The hotel had a massive renovation in 2009 and it looks great now. Unfortunately we have had some problem with the AC as well - actually on the whole floor but with the practical shutters we have managed to cool the room down. We stayed at the hotel in August 2007. There was NO air conditioning and it was very hot and humid. If you opened the window to get fresh air at night, you had better have the lights off, or you would have thousands of bugs come to visit. The room was beautiful though, and the service very good.
