Mama Rosa is a comfortable 9-bed hotel away from the noisy main strip of Basanaviciaus Gatve. We chose a family room and it was beautifully appointed, with a separate lounge, which converted into a bedroom for the children and a jacuzzi bath, which they loved! (Room 6). There was loads of space in the hotel and it felt like home.

Although we'd pre-booked, we were asked to telephone to confirm if we would arrive after 3pm, so we made sure we did, just in case. The hotel served food until 9pm and had sauna facilities in the basement, although we didn't use them. The children loved pancakes for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was delicious.

We were there at the beginning of June and the town was pleasantly quiet, although looked as if it would get busy in the summer, especially along the main strip.
