This was my first trip to Estonia, and thus Rakvere, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I chose the hotel that I found the most information about on the Internet, the Hotel Wesenbergh. The first thing I noticed was the price. My three-night stay cost me about £80. That's less than a Travel Inn style hotel in London for one night. I e-mailed the reception telling them my arrival time may be variable, and they said it was fine, and just to turn up when I wanted. Check in was a simple filling out of a short form, and I was given my key (a physical key, not a card). Even though I opted for a single room (the cheapest available), my room came with two single beds. The room itself was very clean, and looked very nice with the laminate wood flooring. The window was quite large, and whilst it wasn't the most amazing view possible, it was certainly not bad.
The shower area was good, with an open-plan waterproof floor. This meant that one felt slightly disconcerted when the entire floor...
