I´ve chose TTK hostel already several times when visiting Tallinn. I´m not ready for hotel prices, but I want to have privacy, a safe room to stay at, and at a good location. That´s what TTK appeared to be.

The building could at first a shock from the outside - it looked like a Soviet style building. On the inside it was plain but neat. I´ve stayed in two different kinds of rooms at TTK - the other with a private bathroom, and the other with a bathroom shared with 2 other rooms. That wasn´t problematic at all, but I prefered the room with a private bathroom. The rooms were plain, alright, but clean. The beds were quite wide. And there was a good central heating wintertime. There was either a radio or a TV in the room. The bathroom was neat with modern equipment.

The location of the hostel is fantastic: the old town is within 15 minutes of walk - and it is safe to walk in Tallinn! There´s a grocery store opposite the bigger street, and a marketplace behind the... more
