We stayed three nights at this hotel. These are pluses and minuses we identified for this hotel: Minuses: 1. Orange juice at the breakfast was too thin. 2. You have to buy shampoo at the front desk. 3. The bathroom doesn’t contain a tub, there is just a shower. 4. There was one night when there was a party with... more

Nice room with a view of the town, did not have safe-box in the room. Not great location, but the people make the difference. There was a bus service from the airport to hotel for 5 euro (and back) . The same bus takes you to the city center. I had a nice and pleasant stay. Good value 65 euro/night... more

Fully agree with all the nice things already mentioned (A+ clean, quite spacious, low rates), so will try to add something new. Location is not great for sightseeing, but plenty of public transportation a short walk away, only one stop to the center or a short ride away, the usual warning about the cabs apply. A shopping mall, including Rimi... more

Agree with other travellers that this is a very good hotel. We asked if an upgrade was available on arrival (I always ask this, and it has provided us with some excellent bargains) and for an extra £12 a night we had an extremely spacious room with two sofas. We had taken a small travel kettle and there were plenty... more

Arrived on a snowy Saturday morning having left a clear East Midlands Airport but I suppose that that was inevitable given the time of year. The Riga airport is quite small so the baggage was on the belt very quick so it was out of the airport to find a taxi, no problem the taxi rank is just outside the... more

As somebody who stays in hotels across europe for work I can strongly recommened this htl. It is spotless, friendly (unlike most of Riga) and comfortable. Drinks/Food is reasonably priced and good location. more

We went on a stag doo to Riga and stayed in this hotel. We only paid 45 lats which is around £50 for 2 nights, what a bargain. It had a 24hr bar, bar on the roof, and brekfast that would cure any hangover. The jacwsi, sauna and steam room is excellent. A taxi was always available, it even had... more

May long weekend in Riga and the entire city seemed to be "full." When I got to my original hotel, "Hotel Hanza" which i had booked based on the great reviews on this stie, they told me there was some technical problem with my room, and they would be sending me to a "better hotel" and I would get free... more

Hotel is newly refurbished. Spacious. Two elevators. Bowling. Two restaurants. The one on the first floor serves mega size portions. TV has at least 1 German and not less than 5 English channels. Internet available (cable) in the room for 4 pounds (8 dollars) a day. Wireless on the first and ninth floors. Helpfull staff. Breakfast selection - dissappointing ;)... more

This hotel represents great value if you are on a budget but prefer comfortable accomodation. The hotel has been recently refurbished and everything was spotlessly clean. The rooms are large and spacious with all mod cons. The breakfast was above average and plentiful with the bonus of being served to 11.00am if you happen to have had a late night.... more
