The Bily Konicek looks very olde world as you approach it across the immaculate town square of Trebon. Once you cross the threshold it's a slightly different story. The bar/restaurant is stuck in 70s decor (which is great for all the Shoreditch types amongst us) though the service is attentive and friendly (menus only in Czech however). It's a bit of a local's haunt, home cooking and local beers at prices which don't hit the Czech pocket.

The rooms are no interior designer's delight but they are clean, light, spacious, well furnished, comfortable and exceedingly warm when outside is below zero. Bathrooms (showers only) though extremely clean, well tiled and well lit are functional rather than decorative but given off season prices (600 crowns for single) the Bily Konicek truly is a Billy Bargain.

I'd recommend. It's a good three star and a home from home kind of a place.
