Overall, our stay was enjoyable. As we were traveling by train, the location was very convenient to all local transportation. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby area and is turned off around 10, or 11 p.m. Now the catch. Other postings referred to a waitress that was less than cordial, which prompted me to write this. Our first, and... more

Very good location. Close to Lauterbrunnen train station. Cable car connecting to rail to Muerren nearby. Bus to cable car up to Gimmelwald, Muerren, and Shilthorn nearby. Funicular to Wengen from train station a block away. Of the four locations: Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, Gimmelwald, and Muerren, I think I would recommend Lauterbrunnen. Wengen is on the other side of the valley... more

My 3rd visit since 2001, have enjoyed each one. One the plus side we had a newer room, it was modern and sparkling clean. The service was good, although the pregnant lady at the desk at times was irritable. We never ate anything other than breakfast, which was very good and typical, but they do charge for eggs cooked to... more

For us this hotel was very convenient - just a short walk from the train station (but there was no problem at all with train noise) and also a short walk from the centre of Lauterbrunnen. The room was very clean and tidy although, like all the rooms we stayed in in Switzerland, a little basic. There was no lift.... more

My friend and I spent one night at the Silberhorn. We treated ourselves to a superior room and it was well worth it. We stayed in the annex accommodation which was spacious and clean with spectacular views! Our balcony was HUGE! The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. The service at this hotel was super. It had... more

This was probably the biggest room we had on our trip. Actually it was a bedroom and a living room. The view was incredible. Right next to the gondola and walking distance of the train station. Food at the resaurant was excellent (albeit a little pricy). Only real negative was lack of an elevator (or 'lift' to some of you).... more

I stayed in a very small room on the last floor. Not really appealing but they sold it at a very good price. Nice staff, decent restaurant and good location, close to the train and funicular. Most people staying here are retiree. Bit of a strange vibe but it makes it a quiet place. more

Just left the hotel Siberhorn. We had a lovely room with very comfortable beds and no air conditioning but it was cool from alpine air. The hotel is nice but the only complaint we had was with the hotel staff. We were given each a face towel and a body towel per night. When we requested an extra towel, we... more

9 years ago I stayed at this hotel for a mid-week during the late winter. It was absolutely beautiful and the views from the rooms, breathtaking. Room rate also included a ski pass! Just returned from a midweek there. Even more beautiful in the summer. Located, just out of the center of town, keeping down the noise and conveniently located... more

We stayed here for a week with our two children aged 10 and 6. We were in room 41 which has two bedrooms and a lounge / diner plus a very large terrace so great for the kids. We have been before and always found the staff incredibly helpful and the hotel fantastic. We were not disappointed this time either.... more
