The Painted Fish advertises itself as an eco-village, the owners go out of their way to make everything environmentally friendly, you can check it out on their website.

We stayed in the cottage, two adults and three kids and we loved. No TV, no AC and didn't miss it for a minute. The owners are artists and a lot of their work is displayed on the property. the kids loved playing the instruments and board games that were in the cottage.

Easy walk to the beach and we found Fremantle easy to walk as well (we live in Asia). Perfect start to our Australia vacation, very relaxing. If you need to have TV, AC and water slides this is not the place for you, but if you are look for some peace and quiet, quality time with the family in a beautiful setting this is a greay place. more
