Large comfortable unit with seating area. We had a small balcony overlooking side street. Good bathroom with quality toiletries. Had to negotiate stairs with heavy luggage – no lift. Walking distance to town centre – v picturesque township.

A one night stay was disappointingly let down by non availability of hot water due to gas not being replaced ( had problems yesterday aswell! ) and non communication regarding Internet code. Our third floor room had a nice view of the waterfront. The self-cater kitchenette was well equipped. The bathroom was a good size and the bed comfortable. Would definitely recommend the 3rd floor or you will just be looking out at the street.

We knew nothing of Akaroa and chose from web site. It was one of best stays in New Zealand visit. Could not fault anything. Particularly found owner and wife ultra helpful. Well Done. We are usually very critical.
