We stayed here with a group of 6 in one of the family units after finishing the Queen Charlotte track. We found our room small but comfy and warm, with enough facilities for us to cook ourselves a hot meal after the trip. The farm animals are great - we were very close to a large pig who was very... Smiths farm was amazing! We only spent one night there but totally plan on going back and staying longer! It was such a cute place and we loved being able to feed and pet the animals on the farm! The family that lives there is great and so friendly! They even brought us warm muffins when we checked it! I... More

A quite delightful spot at some of the South Island's most lovely landscape which has it's own microcosm of nature. A walk up to the falls though tree ferns listening to bird calls is a lovely experience, but surpassed by the magic of seeing glow worms at the same spot in the evening. Their glow being reflected in a limpid... More

Thank you for your lovely review. We love the glow worms too but don't get to see them as often as we would like. We hope it isn't too chilly back home in Amersham after your stay in the fantastic sunny Marlborough Sounds! More

We received a very warm welcome (muffins!). The campsite is well situated as a base for walks in the Marlborough Sounds and just about 40 minutes drive from Picton. It is quiet and our cabin was clean and comfortable with a serene outlook. We needed some help in planning the next part of the trip and the owners were very helpful.... More

This place was recommended to us by the previous campsite we stayed at. Didn't know what to expect. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly owners and freshly baked muffins!! The amenenities are small but clean and the kitchen is quite cosy. The campsite staff even had a walk through the fields which led to a watterfall with... More

Hello! We're really glad that you took a chance on us and came to stay. The glow worms are great and worth going up to see even if it is a bit of an adventure at night time! All the best for the rest of your holiday and safe travelling! More

We are pleased that despite it being the height of the season you still found it quiet and peaceful.....that's what we aimed to create....a haven from the stresses of everyday life, but still enough people around for it to be an interesting stay. We rented a powered site in early December. All the positive reviews are true! Barbara was so welcoming and helpful, she suggested a couple of outings we loved. It was very quiet with only one other couple on site. For a small, family-owned holiday park, the toilet/shower/laundry facilities were top notch. The BBQ available was gas, so easy and no... More
