Our room was upstairs with an ensuite with balcony, table and chairs - double bed with bunk beds in our room. Kettle etc in room which is a nice touch and very handy as kitchen is downstairs. It is very quiet with a paddock in front with sheep and hens. Complimentary homemade bread in the morning which was delicious. Everything... More

Found this place in the BBH guide. Stayed in a double room with ensuite for one night. Cost about 70 dollars (can't remember exactly). Nice, clean shower and toilet. Comfortable bed, great views across harbour. Great value compared to other places around NZ where you pay the same for shared bathroom and no view. Shared kitchen and lounge was very... More

We stayed two nights at Buccaneer, before and after the Queen Charlotte track. Although it's tent minutes outside the centre of Picton, the owners Mel and Phil will pick you up and drop you off for a small charge.rooms are clean and spacious and you can do washing, use wifi and there is a shared balcony space which faces the... I stayed there with my family- a 1 year old, 3 year old and husband for one night. They charged us $110, and in no way was it worth this. As it shows on the fridge that it is $78 per room(up to 4 people) I enquired later and was told this rate was for BBH members only, and we... More

I am really disappointed that you would post this very negative review after we answered your previous email regarding the price of your room – it would have been preferable if you had voiced your concern before you departed rather than in an email a few days later with a veiled threat of a bad Tripadvisor review. This is only... More

We have just had the most amazing stay at The Buccaneer Lodge in Picton and the only words I seem to be able to say all start with a!! Amazing and awesome experience with great rooms that aren't only spotlessly clean but perfect for the whole family. I can't thank Mel and Phil enough for making this holiday one of... More

My partner and I stayed two nights a the Buccaneer Lodge. Mel and Phil were great hosts, nothing was a problem. The room was spacious and clean with its own bathroom and toilet and of a much higher standard than expected for the price. We recommend the Buccaneer lodge a great place to stay.
