The Craglee Lodge is under new management. I found the management still struggling with their footing as how to host. But for us they were mostly hospitable. Shane took us to see glow worms one night; dolphins another. The bigger problems are the rooms, value for money, a misleading Web site. 1-2. Rooms. The rooms are on the bottom level;... More

While lodge is in a stunning spot the management style leaves a lot to be desired, The rare time we saw the owner he was sullen and in a hurry to go somewhere and spent most of his time away from the lodge, Rooms were small and not particularly clean and definitely not to the standard you would expect for... Don't understand the negative review I read...at all. My friend and I stayed at Craglee on Fri 12 Nov at the end of a very hot day walking the Queen Charlotte Track. We were treated like royalty, greeted by the very friendly and courteous staff who attended to our every need from the time we arrived until we left. The... More

We booked craglee based on the website and reviews which look and sound great. The lodge is under new management and while decent it was a lot less than we expected. The location is stunning and lounge and bar beautiful but the rooms are small and tired. The hosts are perhaps still finding there feet and we didn't get much... More

Just read a poor review about new management and have to give my view. Walked the Queen Charlotte track in October and had the most amazing experience. Craglee was a highlight. The staff including new manager were EXTREMELY attentive, friendly and fun. We walked down the hill to the lodge which was quite a trek. Considering that the track is... More

this lodge is in a spectacular position with absolutely outstanding views, however, the place is under new management. We booked after having read the previous reviews and were expecting a similar experience, but were so disappointed, particularly when comparing it with all the other places we have stayed in New Zealand for a similar cost. the negatives: 1) the host... After reading Trip Advisor reviews we decided to stay at Craglee Lodge for four nights in February. We were so happy with this choice. The wonderful combination of the beauty of its location, along with the friendliness and fun of our hosts, made this an unforgettable stay for us. In fact, we loved it so much that we came back... We spent 3 wonderful nights at Craglee Lodge with Steve, Rosie and George while walking the Queen Charlotte Track. From the outset we were obviously welcome and were going to be well looked after by our hosts. Steve and Rosie have a great eye for detail and empathy with their guests. Wonderful hosts! Great fishing! Superb location! More

This was the stay of a lifetime. The room itself was not out of the ordinary, besides the lovely view of the Bay of Many Coves, but the service and experience here was unparalleled. We flew from Phoenix to LA to Auckland to Nelson, drove to Picton from Nelson and then took the water taxi to Craglee, so we were... More

I wasn't able to make the Craglee Lodge work because of my time constraints, but I emailed back and forth with Rosie was SO helpful in planning my trip. She really helped me understand the area and what was feasible and what was not. Thanks! More
