Summary More of a complex than a hotel, everything is a long way from everything! Overall it was fine but it was very busy and way out of cetnre of trinidad where you quite want to be near the party! When we arrived in trinidad we couldn't move for local accomodation offers which may have been more interesting! Location Quite... more

I agree with much that has been said. My room was smelly, damp and very dated. The food was poor with nothing like the selection offered in other Cuban hotels I stayed in. Saving grace was proximity to the town with the opportunity to explore Trinidad and spend an evening listening to great music. As I understand it there are... more

We were completely ripped off at this hotel. They charged us 110 CUC for one night. We were then scammed by the bell boy, Michael, who parked our car and let our tires down. The bell boy offered to fix the car at a local garage (for a charge, of course) but, as we later found out, took our car... more

Trinidad was probably my favourite place in Cuba and this was where we stayed, it was great - maybe a 10 minute walk from the centre of town, the pool was perfect for lounging around all day, the sunset was awesome and the nightclub in the cave on-site was just weird. My air-con was really noisy, but not exceptionally so... more

Very basic accomodation- Could be the set for a 70's sit-com farce. We may have had one of the few chalets that hadn't been updated, as the front door (which should have been glazed) was boarded up, but the buffet food was surprisingly good for Cuba and I would recommend a stay here for 1 night for the spectacular views... more

A huge number of cabins and apprtments set on a piece of land at the top of a hill on the edge of Trinidad. The rooms were Ok, large and clean. However, the television did not work and we had no bedside lamps. The main light was difficult to read by. We did ask for some lamps but none appeared.... more

I had no problem with this hotel, it is well located just a little away from centre of trinidad which is small anyway, It is chatet like with two rooms side by side. We watched a beautiful sunset sitting outside our chalet which was very clean. more

We stayed one night and had a pretty average experience. The room was large and clean but its all a bit dated and slapdash...but this is what Cuban tourist class hotels are like so set your expectations appropriately and you won't be disappointed. Great location on the hillside overlooking the town and fab sunsets. Food buffet style with a large... more

I have traveled through several developing countries and I understand that it is unfair to apply Western/American standards to these countries. Regardless, I was disappointed with the Hotel Las Cuevas. The hotel property is located on a hill that overlooks the ocean and bay. The 'rooms' are actually separate small cinder block buildings that have been divided into separate rooms... more

Stayed at this hotel for one night in March this year as part of an organised tour with Jules Verne. We were supposed to stay here for two nights but due to overbooking we ended up staying the other night in Costasur a far superior hotel. Hotel is located up on a hill and is in the form of a... more
