I was looking for a very budget hotel. I know that you get what you pay for but this hotel was below average: - location is really bad. It is very far away from Washington D.C. places of interest, although you have a free shuttle that will take you to central station, where you can connect with major metro lines.... More

Stayed here one night over the Thanksgiving holiday. Was a last minute so when the rate was $60 I was thrilled. However, the hotel is in serious need of updating. It hasn't seen a renovation since the early 90's. The furniture was old, beds were low but comfortable, carpet was matted but clean, wallpaper was dated, and peeling in places.... More

This hotel is appalling it was a last minute option because there was nowhere else I know why the room was filthy the noise from the road and other guests kept us awake all night there were cars dropping off hookers all hours of the night my wife and son thought we were going to get murdered in our beds... Never stay here, dangerous area, disgusting rooms, horrid staff who tried to charge us for phone calls we never made! People in the car park at night, shouting, rough violent area......STAY AWAY!! The only positive thing was the shuttle service, and the driver who ran it, great guy but as he said.....'I'm nothing to do with the hotel' Want to... More

Having no other hotels available in downtown Washington we were left with no option but to book this motel. It was out of town and situated on a very busy main road. The taxi driver told us there were drug users and prostitutes in the area and that we should not go out at night. They did offer a free... More

This hotel is not as bad as some of the other posters stated, but it's not pleasant either. I stayed here 21-22 September. First, the area is not unsafe; it's on a main street with constant traffic and I repeatedly saw Police driving by. There are fast-food restaurants and gas stations nearby. Now, the bad parts: It's cheap and run-down.... More

We were coming from New York to stay for 2 nights while in the US from Australia to see the sites so was very excited. We jumped into a cab and when we told him the address he questioned why we were going all the way there and that it wasn't a safe area (I had booked this through my... More

We had booked 4 nights here through a private travel company. We arrived by taxi, and drove through some pretty scary looking slums to arrive at this dump. The lady at the front desk who checked us in was friendly and helpful but that's where the positives ended. Our room was on the ground level right next to the vending... More

Booked the hotel at the last minute based on price. Got a Super Shuttle there from the airport and the driver advised us to be very careful and not leave the hotel as the neighbourhood was not safe and it was dark. Checked in and staff were very incompetent and not welcoming at all. Room was big but on top... More

Trip started off poorly when we called for courtesy van to pick us up and Union Station only to be told we would have to wait about a couple of hours. Once at the hotel, we found it to be older, run-down and an 'outside door' style. No elevators , so you lug up two flights of stairs to the... More
