We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, so not directly in the middle of the city; taxi at rush hour from Union Station cost us $30; $12 on the way back on Sunday morning. Beautiful hotel, that I would class as a business traveller hotel. The rooms were luxurious and very spacious. The king bed is easily the biggest bed I have ever slept in. Extremely comfortable. Room was clean and I think reasonably priced at less than $90/night, exclusive of taxes, etc. What Hotels.com did not mention was the $37/day for parking. This hotel, a short distance from the Amtrak station and Dupont Circle, has a lovely small restaurant, attentive staff, and well-appointed rooms. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. more

Some thoughts regarding our 4 night stay at the Churchill: * About 4 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro - the neighborhood is great * The renovation brings new furnishings, TV, etc yet the hotel retains an old historic feel. * Excellent, polite, professional staff - they went out of their way to help us when we had an issue.... more

Paid about 75 dollars a night for two nights on Hotwire tax included. Great room. Friendly staff. Historic Hotel. Great Neighborhood. A few blocks to public transportation. What more do I need to say. Book it on Hotwire. more

Spent two nights at the hotel on a recent business trip. The room itself (808) was actually pretty small, but that wasn't much of an issue for me as a solo, business traveler. The bathroom was quite large with modern fixtures, and was a pleasant surprise compared to some of the pictures that had been posted. Overall a very nice... more

The Churchill offers a comfortable, clean stay for the best price I have found in DC. From the Churchill it takes about two minutes longer to walk to the Dupont Circle Metro than from a couple of other hotels. But those other hotels may cost 50%+ more per night. The Churchill is a hotel I would highly recommend! The Rooms were immaculate, the Service impeccable, and the Breakfast beautifully served and delicious. After a long day of sightseeing, there were many interesting restaurants within a short walk to choose from. more
