This is my 2nd time to DC for an extended stay, but the first time with my wife and 11 year old. We arrived the last week in March, first of April and were lucky to hit the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom! (By the way, if you are ever interested in DC and can hit the city at this... more

We checked in late at night after a really long delayed journey from the UK and were really pleased with this great hotel. We booked through an internet travel company and got quite a good price compared to the rate advertised on the hotel site. We were in Washington to cram as much sight-seeing in as we could in the... more

The service at this hotle was amazing- they offered complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. Upon seeing that someone wanted a hot chocolate, a waited rushed off and returned with a cup of it within a minute or two. This was excellent service! The lobby and gardens are one of the best features in this hotel and make it... more

Right in the heart of the city with an easy walk to any of the capitol highlights. Really pleasing to see a chain hotel create a relaxed atmosphere in the heart of a major city. Rooms were as expected very well maintained and clean. Couldn't really ask for anything extra. Internet access was a bit pricy at $14 a day... more

An excellent hotel where almost everything is in tune. Competent , attentive staff, great rooms, comfortable beds. The location is a bit off-center, but it is in a very nice residential area. The only slight minus is the somewhat pricey restaurant which is good but nothing to write home about. more

Stayed here for a weekend visit during Memorial Day. The ONLY downside on this property is that it is a five-minute walk to the nearest Metro stop. Otherwise, WE LOVED IT! Located in a quiet neighborhood walking distance from George Washington University and Georgetown, it doesn't quite have the panache you find at some of Fairmont's great hotels in Canada... more

Styaed here for two nights ande used Amex points. I joined the Fairmont President's Club before my stay which gave me free internet, gym access and the perks go up as you accumulate days at any Fairmont. The location was awesome, right between Georgetown, George Washington and the White House. Anyone coming to see the sights would find the Fairmont... more

We stayed 5 nights at this beautiful hotel near M and 24th street. Great West End neighborhood in walking distance of Georgetown and several great restaurants. Wonderful service. The staff went out of their way to help my son track down the cab in which he had left his cell phone. Concierge very pleasant and helpful - brought us a... more

We stayed here for 6 nights after a week in Boston at the Hilton Back Bay, and noticed the difference. As soon as we walked in, the huge, light, airy lobby was luxurious, yet welcoming. There is a pleasant lounge bar area running the length of the lobby, and the courtyard area is a lovely, unexpected oasis of calm in... more

Beautiful property. About a 20 minute brisk walk to the Mall/monuments. Whenever you stay at a Fairmont, be sure to sign up for their free loyalty program - the President's Club. Gives you free internet access in the rooms. Room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking courtyard. Concierge was very helpful. All in all, can't go wrong with this place. more
