Stayed here for a weekend getaway to do the touristy D.C. stuff. Couldn't have picked a better location for the price. Pros: Great location -- 3 blocks to the Mall, across the street from the Spy Museum and the National Portrait Gallery, plenty of restaurants, bistros, coffee places and bars in easy walking distance. There's a Gordon Biersch restaurant on... more
Stayed here recently for one night. Friendly and funny front desk staff. My room had a poor view, of the center courtyard, and my room was missing the internet cord and the hotel "guide" book that tells you where stuff is, etc, etc. I know what you're thinking.. nobody looks at that book, but yes, I do.. I find it... more
The location was nice in China Town BUT I would rather stay at the Monaco next door. This place stunk for the moment I walked in like sewage was spilled out somewhere. The smell followed me to my room as well. The swimming pool should be called a large bath tub, the hot tub was cooler than the pool. The... more
We were in Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom festival and also wanted to 'do' the Smithsonian museums.. The location of this hotel made it possible to walk almost everywhere; from the attractions at the National Mall which is 2 blocks away to the White House which was about 4-5 blocks away. The front desk was helpful and they accommodated... more
This is a nice place. Clean, lovely design, quiet, very helpful and friendly staff. Extras are usually complimentary - coffee in the lobby, rollaway beds, internet. Breakfast buffet was the best of its kind - I loved the guy making omelettes to order, my kids loved the self-serve waffle machine. The indoor pool is small - I've seen backyard pools... more
My husband and I are staying here for 3 nights for a business trip he had to make to DC. It's in a good location. The velet parking is a joke. We're paying $32 a night and when we asked if their garage was secure they said "well, I wouldn't leave anything in it".. so that makes me feel real... more
First may I say that I hope the Marriott paid really good money to the person who took their photos for this hotel. Everything looks wide and spacious when in fact it isn't. The staff was fine, though I have to say that we found the valet parking a pain, sometimes we waited for the car longer than 10-15 minutes... more
Positives: great location near many tourist attractions and some superb restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff who were unable to accommodate a room change request at the time it was made, but did exactly what they said they would do to meet the request later in the day. Negatives: I would concur with other reviewers who have suggested that this hotel feels... more
I chose this hotel after looking at TripAdvisor reviews that the location, service and general atmosphere is good. However, allow me to offer my opinion of this hotel property. Some customer barged into the room at 9am! I will explain that at the end. I have had better Courtyard experiences. Pros - Good location, 9th and F street, and you... more
