There are A LOT of people leaving negative reviews for this hotel built in 1920. First off they should of gone online and looked into where they were staying over just picking out what was cheapest for their budget. I stayed at the District Hotel for only one night, but would of stayed longer if I could of. I knew... more

We did pick this hotel due to a good location and aceptable price.....but It has a lot of negatives: Old building, no elevators, bathroom tiles falling off, wall, doors and windows with several layers of old paint, stinky carpets inside the room and out, next door "Helix" (I don't know exactly what that place is but a lot of noisy... more

As a former property manager I know that bed bugs are very hard to get rid of. Once you take them home you will have an infestation. more

We saw bed bugs in multiple places in the hotel after one night and left. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM WITH THEM. more

Know what you're getting...this is NOT a 3 or 4 star hotel. The rooms are tiny (no real points off here -- all I needed for this trip was a place to sleep, shower, and store my bag while I was exporing the city), but the hotel clearly hasn't had proper upkeep. Specifically: The upolstery in the lobby furniture is... more

The staff pays little attention to big details like air conditioner filters-alarm clocks-and most importantly wake up times- If you want to sleep past noon don't go. If you have a special request I would recommend the no stars in Virginia before the newly refurbished cheap hotel. more

This hotel is terrible. It has bed bugs. After my experience to come across with bed bugs at the hotel; it has been three month they could not even refund my money for the nights I did not stay. I had to check out that same day. The General Manager Mr. Alan could not even speak with me and do... more

This hotel was perfect for our weekend trip to D.C. 15 minutes walking distance to the White House and all other Museums and Monuments. The air conditioner was running when we entered the room, everything was very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. You can make waffels in the hotel lobby for breakfast and a self-serve coffee and... more

I really don't understand why there are negative reviews for this place. We booked a room here even after reading negative reviews. It was actually a wonderful place to stay. It is a historic hotel and does have an old feeling to it, but it is clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. I was really impressed with everyone's friendliness,... more

We really enjoyed staying at the District Hotel. The rooms were really small, but we didn't mind. We didn't come to DC to spend all our time in a hotel room. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful and a good breakfast (you can even make fresh waffles!). The hotel is a bit old, some bathroomtiles were broken and... more
