Furnishings were period and in good repair. The bedroom was dirty. The entry door to the bedroom was cracked as if it had been broken into and poorly repaired. This was a wonderful place to stay in DC. Close to everything, wonderful restraurants in every direction! Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the Chester Arthur House. We enjoyed our breakfasts, especially the interesting conversation with the owners.
