The Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. is a great place to host an event. The hotel offers spectacular views and the property is excellently maintained. Our every need and request was managed expertly and I appreciated the fact that Reagan National Airport is only a 10 minute drive even during rush hour. However, while the property is excellent and has... more

Location to the airport is great. Welcoming lobby and common areas are well maintained. Our room is literally above train tracks which they've tried to mitigate the sound factor with double pane windows - alas, it has failed so you wake to the sound of the trains. Tonight is our final and third night as we're here for a conference.... more

I recently stayed in this hotel on a one night stop over in Washington DC. The hotel was great and the room was comfortable and clean. The only down side of my entire stay was that the bed was very soft. I would highly reccomend this hotel to any traveller. more

There is a in the lobby that I adore. Its asiatic features and size make for an interesting center piece. The restaurant is good. i enjoyed the coby beef. I like the tea service. most of all, I appreciate the view from the presidential suite- havent seen over the potomac from this angle and height anywhere else- Natasha Giddens more

While I did not stay overnight at this hotel (because I live in the area), I did attend a 2-day business conference here. I also got a deep tissue massage at their spa. Both experiences were top rate. Too often the meeting rooms at conferences tend to freeze women out of their shoes. I felt comfortable in pants and a... more

I am familiar with the Mandarin Oriental hotels, and so I was expecting much, much more than what we got. We stayed in an Executive Suite with a City View. The room rate was different each night - b/w $595 and $795 per night. I can't believe they charge that much for what they provide. We've stayed in much nicer... more

As a first-time visitor to Washington D.C., I ordered a city view room but ended up with a river view room. We didn't fuss with them over this because it was all new to me anyway. So now I can tell you that the river view rooms are sunny (south facing), overlook the hotel terrace garden and the tidal basis... more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Mandarin. Maybe my expectations were a bit low since the reviews here are not so great, but I couldn't find much to complain about. First, I thought the location was great for sightseeing. It is a short walk to the tidal basin and the Jefferson Memorial (10 minutes max), and only 2 blocks... more

While the Mandarin was a nice, clean, and well maintained hotel, it was not worth the price. Our small room was nestled over train tracks, and it also provided a nice view of a small wooded parking lot that appeared to be a shelter for indigents. The train was kind enough to roll past the hotel without blowing it's whistle,... more

We stayed at the MO for four nights in March. When we arrived in the morning to check in, we had to wait but did not mind at all because we were able to watch Angelina Jolie being filmed in the hotel lobby . Our room was ready and we walked thorough the film crew in between takes. This was... more
