We stayed here for 3 nights (not long enough). It was a wonderful hotel. Clean, modern and felt luxurious without the megga expense. We saw Marine1 fly by which was a bonus and my son loved it. Lovely friendly bar for the father/son to play chess in whilst waiting for the women. A restaurant with wonderfull food and nearby is... more

Had to do a two week stint at the Washington Navy Yard -- usually get berthing at the Navy Lodge in Anacostia (not so good) or at Bolling AFB (nice!). For some reason there was nothing available, so I was told to get a hotel in town. It's not far from the Yard, so I chose the Channel Inn. A... more

While staying at the hotel for Cherry Blossom Festival on April 6 our room was burglarized. We had made reservations at the restaurant down stairs for 8pm. We were seated giving them our room number. After having our table changed by the head waiter about 25 minutes in to our evening, the waite staff came and took our order again,... more

We were given a room with 1 bed for 4 people which was immediately changed for 2 double beds overlooking the water. This, we thought was a great idea because there were to be fireworks at night. The hotel was old but clean, so for the price we were ok with everything. At 2:30 AM I was awoken with my... more

My stay was so disappointing. The location was so pretty but the hotel is falling apart. The carpets are bumpy and filfthy. The bedspread had a cigarette burn in it. The pillows are flat and the sheets on the bed didn't even fit the mattress. The staff at the desk were indifferent. The coffee house was crummmy and the food... more

I had booked this hotel 9 months in advance for the Presidential inauguration. After reading the reviews here, we got nervous and thought maybe we should find another hotel. Because of the crowds for the inauguration, we were not able to. It turned out that the Channel Inn was fine. It is VERY dated, but clean and comfortable. The locations... more

A terrible mistake on the part of my office's travel agent. Everything in the Channel Inn is either filthy, doesn't work, or both. In no particular order: *The automated front doors are out of service or turned off, and there's no one there to help you with your luggage, so if you're weighed down with bags as I was, you've... more

Where to start? First customer service was non-existent. I asked the desk clerk how to get to the Washington Mall on Sunday and he said "he wasn't sure but there might be a bus line most days but maybe not Sunday" It only runs on the weekend and a route stop is right across the street. Room service sets their... more

We stayed at the Channel Inn for 2 weeks this summer. This hotel is just 2 blocks from a Metro station, which is right next to a grocery store. The hotel has a nice restaurant (Pier 7) however it was a bit pricey for our family to eat there more than once ($100 for a family of 4) Really not... more
