This was my first stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel, and I will always stay here when returning to Washington for meetings in the Capitol area. The location in absolutely perfect. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed - WiFi, iron/ironing board, coffee maker, flat screen TV. The queen bed was incredibly comfortable, complete with luxury linens.... more

3 of us arrived at the hotel after 1am. We had reserved a room with two beds to accomodate the dynamics of our groups and we entered the room to find one King size bed and a flimsy/old sofa bed. We called the manager on duty to explain the problem and he informed us that the hotel was completely sold... more

Stayed here for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend and into the following week. Stayed in a king bed room on the 9th floor. The room itself was really nice. Large flat screen tv on the wall with HD channels, very comfortable king size bed (which has others have pointed out is extremely high), fridge with some room to store... more

The Phoenix was recommended by a friend who works in government in DC. Other who had visited DC advised staying downtown to save time, stress, and for more safety. I am so glad I stayed at the Phoenix. I had to save and sacrifice to afford this hotel, but it was worth every penney. The bed was fantastic. The room... more

We paid $100 for one night at this hotel. We got the room we booked which was 2 double beds. I can certainly understand others who were upset at not getting the room they reserved and possibly paying much more for the room. The rooms aren't large but are very comfortable. It was tough to get everyone out of bed... more

we stayed for one night here on a friday night. The room was small, but well maintained. The location is the best part of the hotel. Its right across the union station. We didn't experience any noise, since we were on the other side of the dubliner. Hotel Parking is very expensive($40 for a night). I was able to find... more

We were told upon arrival that there were no more rooms with two double beds, in which I had reserved two months in advance, and we're told we would have a one double bed room with a roll-away. I wasn't too happy but decided there was nothing I could do. When we were shown the room it was obvious that... more

I booked a room directly with the hotel with two beds in January for an April stay. I confirmed two weeks before arrival, and the hotel confirmed three days before arrival. I was taken to a room with a king bed and a roll-away. After booking and confirming twice, I was incredulous. The desk informed me that they didn't have... more

I was in the Washington DC area for union business and this was the only hotel in area that was within per diem. I did not want to stay at the hotel due to the bad reviews;however,my union purchased a package deal on Orbitz (hard to cancel). I showed my union the bad reviews on trip advisor and my treasurer... more
