So, the hotel's near Dupont Circle, which is now the trendy place to be in Washington DC. It's seemingly a couple of houses knocked through. The room was a little scruffy, and the decor of the hotel itself was a little battered. I'd have liked an elevator for my heavy bag; instead I had to pull it up the creaky... more

great location with Barack's house at the other end of the street. Charming old place that is good value for money. Its not the Ritz, but at the price I dont really think I expected the Ritz! We had a room that overlooked the street and was very happy with it. It includes breakfast, but its only a very basic... more

Very charming hotel… Beautiful and serene garden area in front with bench and chairs to relax and enjoy, and the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and have a flare of antiqueness in the décor. There is a lovely and FREE breakfast for the mornings. Location is excellent. I will be back. more

I picked this hotel solely for its location near my daughter's apartment. Room 312 is not renovated so I thought the price of $114 per night was ok. Good LCD TV, if that is your thing. OK bed and a mini fridge to store anything small. Peeling wallpaper. Window AC unit. No view unless you like the alley out back.... more

Our hotel cat and mascot, Mona, is exclusively an indoor animal who, since birth, has not so much as placed a paw outdoors. She is examined by the veterinary hospital each month. Her September 1, 2009 visit to the vet confirmed that she certainly does NOT, and has never had, fleas. Mosquitoes are, however, very present outdoors in Washington DC...

Easy walk to Woodley subway station, restaurants, off-street parking on weekends (read the signs carefully, some face the street), staff very helpful, comfortable bed, our bathroom small but plumbing worked well, very good light in room. more

My husband and I were traveling with my sister, her husband and their 4 children (7-14). The rooms were just large enough and everything was very clean. The rooms were supplied with everything a traveler might need (the usual ice bucket, shampoo, lots of towels, hair dryer , television, etc). The parlor (lobby) had a television and games....much like a... more

We visited DC for the cherry blossoms this year and stayed at the Windsor Inn. We almost enjoyed walking around the hotel and Dupont circle more than the gardens downtown. The staff was very friendly, and the owners even showed us to our room and gave us recommendations for the evening. A very personal and convenient (and also rather inexpensive)... more

The Windsor Inn in Washington DC is one of the most charming hotels I have stayed at. From the lobby cat that greets you to the lovely young owners who are doing a wonderful job of renovating the rooms and the overall hotel, this is a great place to stay. The staff is happily ready to assist with all your... more

My wife and I stayed there for three nights. We found the accommodations very adequate. The price is right! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Close to wonderful restaurants and shops. Close to Metro stops. It’s just the right place in the right location. more
