I was surprised to see that this hotel is not rated higher and surprised at some of the poor experiences. I have stayed here 8 times since Jan 09. They won my stars for service by having the windows open in advance as requested. For 15 years, I state on reservations "allergic - please air room" and I think this... more

We visited Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom festival. While the hotel location was excellent close to Dupont Circle (near the subway and several restaurants), the rooms were tiny and made it uncomfortable for our family of 4 (including 2 boys). more

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are not large, but what do you expect from a city hotel? There isn't much of a bar and we never even tried the dining room but...YOU'RE IN DUPONT CIRCLE! You don't eat or drink in your hotel. You walk to G-Town, or to Grillfish or to Sign of the Whale or to... more

We wanted a quiet time away from our children and responsibilities. We were treated with great respect, kindness and grace. The staff was perfect. Ready to serve but not intrusive. The location was excellent. Many very nice shops and restaurants within a short walk. The Metro was less then a block away which gave easy (and cheap) access to the... more

My room (219) was small, dated, dirty and uncomfortable. The staff was just ok but then I found a mouse in my room! The staff did not seem surprised, were with just one exception completely unhelpful and it was just a terrible experience. more

The room was DIRTY & tiny, poorly maintained, and not even the towels were clean! This is possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Lighting in the room was AWFUL. The shower curtain was stained and nasty, it very badly needed to be replaced! Disgusting! Valet parking was a total rip off at $35.. and the valet seemed confused... more

I spent 4 nights here and would return. It is true that the rooms are on the small side and the bathroom tiny but both were very clean. It is an older hotel in need of a few updates but the location is fantastic. The metro is just around the corner, there are many places to eat nearby. I got... more

Dated, in need of a revamp. Only good thing is location, which is great. Otherwise, hallways smelled, rugs in halls were dirty, ceilings are low just about everywhere, fixtures old, bathroom tiny, elevator sounded like it was banging against the wall, sad hotel bar in the corner of a small area with 7 foot ceilings, and while I didn't look... more

Stayed at the Hilton Embassy Row for the fourth time, as it is booked through work for conference purposes. For the price ($220 for a standard or $249 for an executive room) it is acceptable, but it falls below the Hilton standard: The rooms are decent in size, but they are looking worn (ceiling with cracking paint) and the windows... more

Having had the worst hotel experience of my life, I am writing my first review for Trip Advisor. Avoid this hotel like a pestilence, which it in fact is. The hotel is located near the Washington embassies and looked fine from the outside. It seemed like a good base for a weekend of sightseeing. I initially had to switch rooms... more
