We loved the Embassy Suites at Chevy Chase Pavilion. The hotel was clean and people at the front desk were very helpful. When traveling with our children a free breakfast is a must. I would highly recommend this hotel to save $ over staying downtown for tourism. The rooms are beautiful and HUGE. We loved this hotel and the free breakfast was awesome. The manger's evening social was great too. It included free beer.....We felt like we were traveling first class during our stay. The con is the parking fee of $24 and no free internet but we knew this up front. more

The hotel is located inside a mall on top of a metro station. You can't get any more convenient. It can be a bit pricey once you add in the parking fees but considering this is Washington DC you're not going to do too much better for what you're getting.
