I have a strong preference for small hotels with character and charm instead of the cookie cutter major chain hotels where the one in Washington feels pretty much like the one in St Louis. The Henley Park certainly hits the bullseye for my preference! The small sitting room off the lobby has very comfortable sofas and chairs, free Washington Posts,... More

I chose to submit all my reviews only after we completed our trip through the US and Mexico. I'm glad I did, as otherwise I wouldn't have recognised just how much further Henley Park goes to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Nothing about our comfort was taken for granted - there were so many small touches that really... More

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Henley Park Hotel. It is very convenient to the Convention Center and only blocks away from Chinatown. The rooms are small, but they were made a long time ago. The Hotel has a lot of construction going on all around the site, but they did supply you with ear plugs... More

Thank you for your comments, every room in our historic hotel has a little different layout, some of the larger rooms are the deluxe room or a Junior Suite. More

I have stayed at the Henley twice and both times it has been a pleasant experience. The food is excellent but extremely over-priced ($30 for breakfast). I ordered room service one day and they gave me a double order of toast (I didn't order it) and they would not take it off of my bill. But, the lobby, bar and... More

Quick thoughts. It's an older hotel that has preserved its tradition well. Small, quaint, tidy place. A lot of fabric ... Rooms are very, very small. If you're up past floor 5, plan on it taking 10 minutes for the hot water to reach your shower. It's a bit loud there. Ear plugs are provided to each guest complementary. Food... More

I need to stay in this area about every 3 months so I have a few "pocket" places I try to book when I need to come out. I need to stay at Federal rates which are not always easily available at my favorites (Hotel George and the Liason) right across from where I work. I happened on the Henley... More

Booked online with bookings.com - hotel was exactly as described; great historic feel, very classic decor and big comfy bed. Service was questionable though; no room service despite being told there was at check in. Offer of some takeaways menu's only materialised after 2 calls to ask where they were. Pillows are HUGE - I couldn't sleep on them but... More

My wife and I stayed 2 separate nights in this hotel which bookended a week in July 2011. While our room faced the construction site across the road we didn't find the construction noise too much of a problem. To be honest, we probably faced as much aural disturbance from each others snoring! In any case, have ear plugs, will... More

Insanely comfortable bed (they aren't kidding about the Italian bed linens), spacious bathroom and closet, and nice amenities. The free bottled water and daily newspapers are particularly nice. This hotel is a little out-of-the-way, quiet, and perfect for an intimate romantic getaway. We were there just before Christmas and the common areas on the ground floor were decked out and... More
