The Hotel was a typical generic international hotel chain, very comfy, reasonably priced and a fantastic location. Easy walk to most attractions including, Capitol, Smithsonian museums, Washington monument, Lincoln memorial, very close to Metro. Be sure to visit the Air & space museum, absolutely mind blowing. The hotel is okay at best. It is clean, and is near "the mall." Parking at the hotel is 30 dollars a day but you can come and go as you please. This hotel is located within easy walking distance of several Metro stations, and is very close to the National Mall, stores, restaurants & Smithsonian. I stayed at the HI for business in mid-May. The rooms were dated, but they were clean and functional. The staff was pleasant. No complaints there.
