Checked into the Marriott on Saturday, October 24th. No king bed available despite my Marriott rewards status and my reservation for a king bed. Finally found us a king bed in the "business wing" which required many steps and no elevator. Room was fine. Very average to below-average for a Marriott. No wireless in room, no ethernet cable and when... more

Stayed here back in September for 2 days. We parked our car in the parking garage provided for people staying at the Marriot, which is next to the hotel. It's a small garage therefore tight to drive the car around which worried us about the car getting scratched. Our room was available upon arrival, prior to check in time, and... more

Booked well in advance for 2 double beds but had to argue to get them at the desk Smell of mold very strong in room - allergy sufferers might have a problem Hair in bathtub upon arrival Did not clean room the second day; a do not disturb tag was on door when we came back that evening; we had... more

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel due mostly to its central location in between Georgetown and the National Mall. Both were within easy walking distance and the restaurants that adjoined the hotel (Grillfish) and (Mewah) made dining on a tight schedule a breeze. I got an excellent deal by booking at the last minute thru an online wholesale site... more

First I checked in to higher price room just for 1 night. It was modern renovated business type room, a little bit larger with street view. The only thing missing in this room was any kind of refrigerator: no minibar even. Since rest of my stay (around 14 days) was reserved in downgraded room the reception has asked me to... more

This hotel is totally unimpressive from the outside, but the rooms are nice, as is the lobby. It was a good value for what we paid - the rooms aren't super new, but are very comfortable. I happen to enjoy plush bedding (pillowtop mattresses and big, soft pillows), but my parents didn't sleep as well, as they are used to... more

We stayed at the Washington Marriott for a total of 5 nights and I have to say I was very pleased and would return in a heat beat. First of all being a Midwesterner I have this stereotype impression of folks on the East coast as being rather rude and short with their patience of visitors. Not the case at... more

I'm Marriott Rewards Gold and travel almost weekly, so I know my way around hotels, especially the Marriott chain and its sub-brands. When I found this downtown Marriott at $97 a night for three nights (over a weekend) I was amazed and didn't have the greatest expectations. Man, was I wrong. As others have written, its the hotel's staff that... more

I recently stayed at this hotel in three rooms with three generations of my family. We were able to get an amazing rate so my expectations were expectedly uncertain for a full-service Marriott in that area of DC and I am still working to determine whether or not the hotel was a hit or a miss. I'll start at that... more
