The hotel is a little distance away from the key attractions such as the White House, but public transport is close by as it the hop-on-hop-off tour bus route (only 2 blocks away). Reception and the downstairs bar area are much smarter than the floors upstairs, BUT it feels like they are just in the process of trying to update... More

We were very happy with this hotel we got on Priceline for a price of $99 a night. It is located near the other luxury hotels and fine dining restaurants of DC. We walked to the White House in 15 minutes, even less to DuPont Circle. Since this was our first time to DC, we had no clue what part... More

After a weary day of travel to our Capitol, DC, and much research where to stay, I chose the Renaissance Washington, DC Dupont Circle Hotel. Why, you may ask? The newly renovated hotel, along with the M bar, and excellent coffee bar, that left a heart shape on my aromatic and delicious cappuccino was outstanding and by far the perfect... More

The location of this hotel is outstanding. The hotel itself...well, it is nothing exceptional. It is nice, the room was clean, the lobby is well kept and the staff was helpful. If you can get a good price, it is worth staying at. The fitness center was tiny and in the basement..but it was sufficient.

What I loved about the Renaissance hotel was the proximity to everything. It is around a good 5-7 minute walk from Georgetown (a must visit) and maybe a 10-12 minute walk from the White House. The staff was very welcoming, always there to answer your questions and always there if you needed something. I needed my car at 3 am... More

If it were not for the family and friends rate we used for our 4 nights stay here I would probably not have stayed here. I say that because when looking for hotels, I look for lots of bang for my buck! Yes the hotel has a nice staff, the rooms and public areas are nicely decorated and clean, the... More

I love this hotel. I have stayed at the hotel twice for a total of almost one month. The breakfast buffet is great but I also liked have the kitchen and cooking options in my room. The best part of the hotel is the location in Dupont Circle very close to the Metro, a pharmacy, and some great restaurants. You... More

Although the staff was very kind and accommodating, the hotel has two problems. First, the back rooms have views of brick walls, or venting ducts, as I has this time. Second , before 12 noon the halls are noisy. I had drilling adove my room at 11 am that was so loud the operator couldnt hear me when I called... More

Situated in a lovely neighborhood with good restaurants and an easy walk to the GW campus, this is a good choice for visits to the University. Generally less expensive than the Inn at GW (look for AAA and other discounts). Attentive service in the lobby - plenty of umbrellas for rainy weather and a lively lobby, good for hanging out... Stayed a week in this hotel for business purposes. While it certainly doesn't lack anything, and is well situated (the area has a very high concentration of upscale hotels), I found the rooms quite boring and less cosy than what could be expected. Also, the gym is rather small for a hotel of this size. The breakfast buffet, however, was... More
