This is a very old Hilton. However, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely done up. The services are nice as well as the Hilton chain of hotels is known for its professionalism since they've been in the business for a long time. The best part about this hotel is its location. It's located right in the heart of downtown... more

I attended a meeting at the hotel and had a positive experience. I was upgraded to a suite, which was oddly laid out, but was nice and clean. The hotel corridors were very quiet. The elevator service was excellent in comparison to many other hotels. I never had to wait more than a minute to get one. I liked the... more

The hotel is old and in need of serious updating. The rooms are quite large but again in need of refurbishing. The bathrooms need serious cleaning as there was mold everywhere in the tub. The hotel because of its proxmity to the White House is very expensive but not worth what you pay for. Also in this day and age... more

My wife and I are currently staying at the Capital Hilton. The staff is friendly and the location is good, but there isn't much else to like here. The room is small (for the price), the room layout is weird and decor is dated, the door does not block sounds or voices from the hall, the TV seems to be... more

I paid a respectably high conference rate and got a tiny room--so small and cramped that there isn't enough space between the bed and the dresser (on which the tv sits) to pull my luggage through. So I opened by suit case on wide side of the bed and carried stuff to the closet. Not a huge deal, but at... more

My wife and I stay at a lot of hotels. I've never in my life paid a fee for having two (2) adults in the room. Mind you, I also brought along our infant child and dog. I would have understood and gladly paid extra for the dog in particular. The Capital Hilton, however, charged me an extra $30 for... more

Stayed for one night, reservation made by colleague in DC. Location was terrific, close to my meetings, one block from metro and close to White House and Mall. Room lacked real charm but was clean, relatively spacious and completely met my needs. I was on concierge floor - the private lounge and breakfast offerings were very good. I would stay... more

My husband and I just spent a night at the Capital Hilton, and wow, I'm really surprised at how unimpressive that place was. I wasn't expecting outrageous luxury - but this place was tired, run down, overpriced, and just plain uninviting. First thing - our room was exorbitantly expensive. I realize the location is fantastic, and that is a definite... more
