Hotel Washington is a historical property of distinction at a terrific location. You can see the White House from the roof restaurant patio/balcony. The luxurious lobby builds up expectations for rooms, but our room was quite small and unremarkable. It was almost difficult to have enough room to move around the bed, it was very compact. The cute feature is... more

The lobby and the bar are the highlights of this hotel - Both must be seen to be fully appreciated. The room was nicely decorated, although a bit small, comfortable and clean. This old hotel had an air of sophistication and charm that cannot be duplicated. The location is fantastic and unforgettable. Overall, a great and memorable place to stay, more

Bed was TINY... It was a full or double bed, I didn't think hotels still had those! It was definitely a no frills hotel despite how much you spend per night. The location however, was key. You could walk to all the major monuments and sites to see. There was a lovely bar on the rooftop which was also nice... more

My boyfriend and I decided to stop off in washington on our way home from south america for some sight seeing! We decided on the hotel washington because of its location, boy were we sorry. We arrived at about 1.30am exhausted after many flights, first impressions of the hotel werent too bad. The lobby is a bit dated but ok.... more

My mother and I stayed at this hotel. We happen to get a great price on it too! (I booked it via calling the hotel, made reservations a couple of months prior...Occasionally I would call to verify the reservation..{I have this notion that I have to confirm things :) } anyhow, everytime I called to check on it, they told... more

We booked this hotel for the great location. But when we got there the hotel wouldn't allow us to park in their garage! They told us that there was an event in town and they basically allowed too many non-guests to park so there wasn't any room for guests who were staying at the hotel! We called the hotel to... more

I guess I got a good pre-Thanksgiving deal....$90...but the hotel was fantastic at that price. The best location and nice sized rooms made it a great stay. Staff were helpful and polite and room was clean and everything working. Definitely stay there again. more

The lobby of the hotel is beautiful - no complaints there. However, once we got to our room we were disappointed with the condition the room was in. The towel rack in the bathroom was completely broken off (leaving behind a tear in the 1980s wallpaper) and propped up against the wall. We called the front desk to see if... more

Just returned from my first trip to DC. I'll keep the review simple. PROS Location. Everyon has said it. It's located right next to the White House. The metro is one block over, behind the hotel. Its an Easy walk down Pennsylvania Ave to the National Mall. Inexpensive. Paid less than I would have for a motel 6 on a... more

This Hotel is DIRTY. The service is terrible. I would have left if it had not been part of a Pricess Tour Package. The AC ducts had thick layers of dust, there was food and thick layers of dust along the base boards. The Bathroom had water damage and mold. I could not wait to leave. I have since heard... more
