I booked this hotel through trails.com. We were originally going to stay Friday and Saturday night. We had a family emergency and knew we would have to return home on Saturday night, so on Thursday, I was going to change the reservation to Friday night only, but the web site did not offer any way to change a reservation, only to cancel it. So, I canceled the original reservation on Thursday and reserved another room just for Friday night. The web site said there was a two day cancellation policy, but because I rebooked for Friday night, and Saturday was two days away, I assumed I would not be charged the penalty. WRONG!!! They said it did not matter that I rebooked, that because I "canceled" the reservation, I automatically incurred the penalty. Let's just say I won't be a repeat customer.
