I stayed one night here during a stop from Reno up into Oregon. It was clean, decent sized and had a coffee maker, microwave oven and a frig! The restaurant in front is related to the motel, and I also had breakfast there - good and inexpensive. I would not hesitate to stay again if there was a need. The price was great too.... more
i was passing through alturas to go to lava beds national park and needed a place to stay for one night. the wagon wheel was the lowest priced motel in town and was a real surprise. the room was very large, with what looked like new carpeting and comfortable furniture. it was very clean and spotless. it had a fridge and microwave and 53 cable-channel tv . the wagon wheel restaurant next door had huge portions, old-fashioned home-cooked meals. the room was a real steal for the price, i highly recommend this motel. more
