We have stayed at the Carousel Inn and Suites and the Candy Cane before and thought we would try something else. This hotel was very clean but it is worn and the beds really could use replacing. the hotel staff was fine, they brought extra pillows quickly (pillows are very small and lumpy. the breakfast buffet was so so, we paid extra to get the "hot" items but there was no one there to check who was supposed to get it, furthermore there was nothing to say that we were to get it, so we wasted extra... more

We stayed at the D P in Mar 08 and enjoyed it so much we took 13 extended family members with us in Mar 09. We had 4 different types of rooms and no problems during the whole week. We recently visited Anaheim & Disneyland. We usually stay closer to the main entrance of the park, but decided to try Desert Palms because of the breakfast and suites. A microwave and a fridge in the room were a bonus at no extra cost. Very courteous staff, clean lobby, clean room, nice hot breakfast. What more could you ask for?... more
