We wanted to spend a day visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Park and were looking for a comfortable and convenient place to overnight. This certainly fit the bill! My husband and I stayed at the Cottonwood Inn for one night in March 2006. Our room was smallish, but clean and cozy. The inn was on a nice quiet street. The innkeeper Deborah is very nice and gave us a tasty, large breakfast in the morning. The kitchen is open to guests, so you can wander in and out... more
Good place to stay for seeing Great Sand Dunes NP. Also a good value and a delicious full breakfast. Could have done without the noisy AC window unit but still a wonderful place to stay. Debbie was very helpful to all our needs. Would stay again. more
I only have good things to say about this place. We live in Denver. The in-laws live in Tucson, so we sometimes try to find places in between where we can meet up for Thanksgiving. In 2003, we chose this place. When I told one friend we were going to meet in Alamosa, she said "have you BEEN to Alamosa???".... more
Best place in CO to stay. Have stayed numerous times, brought friends and family along too. Everyone at the Inn and in the Town are extremely pleasant and helpful! more
