This was a stopover on our drive from Florida to Houston for Thanksgiving. The Apalachicola River Inn looks like an old motel, but has been remodeled and set up as a B&B. Our second floor room was very nice, newly refinished, fresh paint on the chairs on the balcony, bathroom fixtures new, nice touches. All nice. The breakfast was great... more

On our recent Gulf Coast tour along Hwy 98, we stopped for a night at the Apalachicola Inn. The rate was $139.00/night including a free cocktail in the lounge and free breakfast the following morning, a great deal. Be sure to choose the upstairs rooms. They are comfortably furnished and appointed with a comfortable king bed, nice bedding, an armoir,... more

OOPS! We have caused a great deal of confusion regarding our promotion, and now rule, of  complimentary happy hour drink and  cooked to order breakfast at Caroline's with each nights stay at the inn. Caroline's River Dining is also open to the general public. At this time the offer is not included during Florida Seafood festival in November, Labor day,...

We've been frequest guests at the ARI for years. It feels like our "home away from home". Staff go "above and beyond" to always make our stays memorable. The ARI rooms are charming and comfortable. Food is outstanding. Boss oysters are the best! more

We happened on this inn during a road trip. We had a choice of rooms and looked at them all. All of the upstairs units were decorated different, clean and had great private balconies. The bed was piled high with pillows and very comfortable. The food at Carolines was EXCELLENT and the oysters at Boss Oyster wonderful. We felt like... more

The Apalachicola River Inn bills themself as a bed and breakfast-that we found turned into a bed only! The Inn's web site says "specials" do not apply on holiday weekend-they don't tell you when you reserve a room over a holiday week end they consider breakfast a "special". So if you go- don't go on a holiday weekend or during... more

My wife and I took upon these hwy 98 because all said it was the best way to see the gulf of florida. We took the advice and loved it. Now don't the looks of this old small town fool you. It is what is inside that is amazing. The woman in the front desk let us choose our room.... more

My husband and I returned to Apalachicola for our 25th wedding anniversary. We live in central Florida and over the years have explored the Florida panhandle and realized that we are blessed to have unmatched natural beauty within a few hours drive from our home. Apalachicola made a perfect three day getaway. We wanted to hang out together walk the... more

We have only recently moved to Florida. My husband and I wanted a quick getaway from the busy city life here in Tallahassee and we found it in nearby Apalachicola!! It's a very quaint and historic little town right on the water. We found the Apalachicola River Inn overlooking the water as we came across the bridge(look for INN sign... more

We have children ages 9 and 10. We were hesitant about staying at a place with no pool but the kids didn't seem to mind and were very excited about being on the water with their own balcony. We were late arriving on Sat evening. The very friendly and helpful lady at the front desk(Ann) took care of everything for... more
