First trip to Caye Caulker after serveral years at Roatan. What a disappiontment! Prior to arrival and after payment we found out that four of our party had been bumped to Sailwinds (next door). Upon arrival we fournd that the beach area in front of the house had been replaced by Paradiso Lounge complete with music & conversation till late each night. In addition it is in close proximity to Tina's Hostel with late night partying. We did find the new operators to very friendly and June who did the cleaning was very efficient and quite pleasant. The crowing blow came on our next to the last night when someone entered our accomodations while we slept and stole all our cash and jewelry. We were fortunate that they did not find our credit card and left our passports on the balcony. Entry was gained by way of Tina's and through our second story balcony doors that had no locks!!
