Staying at Shirley's was like staying at your great aunt's lake cabin. It was outdated, but very clean. There were rules posted on the door. Shirley's Guest House is a perfect getaway !!!! Super quiet, Great hot water, never needed air conditioning or even the fan because the breeze was always enough even while sleeping. If you're looking for quiet and low key Shirley's Guest house is the place! Shirley was very pleasant from booking to checkout. Our cottage was clean, safe and had beautiful views of the ocean. It also had the hottest water we've ever experienced in Belize. It's within easy waking distance from the main strip but far enough to feel secluded.... more
