My teenage daughter and I visited Barton Creek Outpost for a week. We ate at the cafe, and toured the Barton Creek Cave. The food was awesome. The hospitality was even better. The Britts are salt of the earth! We swam in the refreshing creek. We also visited San Ignacio which was nearby and stopped at the local pubs. Met a lot of the local business owners who were all very nice people. The locals are mostly english speaking and very hospitable, happy people. Also visited some of the ruins in the area. Whether we were hanging out at the cafe playing a game of checkers, staying up late for movie night, singing karaoke with some of the locals, or just relaxing on the porch swing or a hammock, staying at the Outpost was the highlight of our trip. It made our stay in Belize unforgettable. I would definitely go again! more
