We just returned from spending Christmas in Belize. We spent 5 nights at Crystal Paradise and 6 nights in Placencia. We had such an amazing time while at Crystal Paradise. Eric picked us up from Belize City and drove us to Crystal Paradise. We stayed in a non-thatched bungalow. It had a large shower and two double beds. It's not... more

We stayed 3 nights at the Crystal Paradise and just loved it! We had a regular room, it was very simple and clean. The bed was a little hard, but for the price it is a great value. The food was wonderful and the Tut family was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We did tours with Jeronie... more

We just returned from Belize. 7 days at Blackbird Caye and then two days at the Crystal Paradise. It isn't a resort and that was exactly what we wanted. A peaceful getaway far out of town. The dining area and lounging deck just lovely and relaxing. It is aso nice because you eat family style with your fellow travelers. I... more

Having just got back from our trip to Belize, we quickly decided one of the first things to do was to go to tripadvisor.com and sing the praises of Crystal Paradise (CP) and all that they did to make our trip to the inland an unforgettable experience. First things first, CP is not a resort. It is not the kind... more

Our stay at Crystal Paradise was very pleasant and the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We were woken up in the morning by the beautiful calls of the melodious blackbird. The meals were served in an open air dinging room with a deck overlooking the valley and an adjacent self service bar. We felt very welcomed and at... more

We were a bit disappointed during our stay here and cut it short. It was a combination of a few things. That said, the family who runs the place is very sweet, and really tried to accomodate us. Like when my dad had a heart attack and I was trying to call back every day to the US, they let... more

I believe our place is about the most reasonably priced in the area the room these...

We have just returned from a week at Crystal Paradise and cannot say enough good things about our experience. As others have said, the Tut family makes their resort stand out from others. If you truly want to learn about and experience Belize you should seriously consider Crystal Paradise. I am an enthusiastic but not particularly accomplished birder. On our... more

This is one of the best places you can possibly stay in while in Belize. It is authentic, the family is wonderful, the setting is beautiful. While Belize is filling up with all kinds of resorts, many of them expensive, run by expats, and in it "for the business," Crystal Paradise is like a breath of fresh air. Belizean run,... more

My boyfriend and I are in our early 30s and we stayed at Crystal Paradise in March of 2007 for one night during a week's stay in Belize. We loved Belize and absolutely would go back. However, we did not like this property and would not stay here again, nor would we recommend this lodge to our friends – mainly... more

After reading the reviews, I feel like I should comment to help those folks "on the fence" about staying at CP. First off, we've gone there since 1988, our honeymoon, and most recently stayed there with our 3 teenage children, in the rainy season this past July (and there was A LOT of rain, more than is typical). Even after... more
