I can't begin to say enough great things about Maya Mountain. The one thing I dislike in general about traveling is hotel beds but we slept GREAT at MML. The beds are firm but to me they were very comfortable (although for folks that don't have bad backs and prefer super soft mattresses maybe they'd be less comfortable). But on... more

We were all very pleased with our stay at MML. It's well run, clean, family friendly and a great value. My wife and I had a small room while our daughter's family of six had a large bungalow. Rooms were very clean, not fancy, but completely adequate and had daily maid service. The staff is outstanding, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.... more

We found this place at the last minute. It was a comfortable walking distance from the town center (about 1-2 miles). The owner, Bart, was friendly and was willing to answer all of our questions. We stayed in the communcal cabins, not in the private little cabanas so our review is based on that. The rooms were small but accomodating-... more

My friend and I recently stayed at the Maya Mountain Lodge (MML) and had a terrific experience there. The cabins are small, but perfectly adequate, and it's great having private baths. There was a hammock on our porch that we didn't have a chance to take advantage of, but was nice to think about! The water is solar heated, a... more

Our group has been spending about a month in Belize each Feb/March for the last 9 years, mapping caves for the Institute of Archeology of Belize, and we make Maya Mountain Lodge our home base. The food is great (5 course dinners), and the cooks will happily adjust to your dietary needs, including vegetarian. I don't like fin fish, so... more

My family spent 3 nights at Maya Mountain Lodge as part of a week stay in Belize last February. I selected them based on Tripadvisor ratings, their website descriptions, and most of all based on the great service via email that I had with their staff. Dorita and Emeli were so sweet and helpful, as well as responsive. I pre-booked... more

A simple but lovely hotel. The rooms are basic (no tv or phone in mine) but clean, and who cares when you are surrounded by such natural beauty! We had a large covered porch/ deck type place complete w/ hammocks and completely surrounded by green foliage where my friends and i gathered each night to talk and meet other guests.... more

What a wonderful expierence me and my 9 travel companions just had at the lodge. We went there as part of a larger adventure week put on through Slickrock Adventures. The stay there was just short of perfect. It is a great place to start to explore the ruins, caves, or whatever else you fancy in the area..... Staff is... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Maya Mountain Lodge for 3 nights this February. Our stay was okay. The rooms: The rooms were clean and a comfortable size but we found our bed to be very uncomfortable. It had a decent shower but the towels they supplied barely covered your butt let alone your whole body. The rooms were also... more

We flew into Belize for our Honeymoon on November 1, 2008. We were doing a jungle/island combination and headed to San Ignacio first. We had initially booked a cabana in Bullet Tree. Unfortunately, due to the heavy rains, that cabana was flooded & we were unable to stay there. The owner of that cabana recommended Maya Mountain Lodge. He stated... more
