My husband and I stayed at the Maya Mountain Lodge for the first two nights of our Belize vacation. I chose the lodge based on location and previous reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. As others have commented, the staff - especially Elmer and the caretakers - are amazing. They are friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure... More

Stayed at the Maya Mountain Lodge for 3 nights. The staff of the lodge is definitely what made the stay memorable. I am not sure I have ever encountered such genuinely warm and friendly people as I did at Maya Mountain. Elmer is just amazing. The rooms are comfortable. Shower is nice and hot. Pool area is relaxing. Dinner at... More

We found this lodge on Trip Advisor, and the price was very reasonable. Our room had A/C which was a must, as traveling in April can get pretty hot! There was an aboveground pool that we enjoyed. The food in the dining area was not outstanding, so I'd recommend going into Santa Elena or San Ignacio to eat. There was... More

Great place to stay, trips etc. Very clean, nice rooms, hot showers, some of the fastest free wifi we have experienced in belize, rooms have coverage too. Really nice pool also. They don't seem to have a bar, which we think is a missed opportunity as town is 15-20 mins walk away. Really lovely staff.

We didn't realize that MML was in Santa Elena instead of San Ignacio... once we figured that out, it wasn't that hard to find. The staff is FANTASTIC and the food is exceptional. We saw the menu and immediately signed up for dinner and breakfast. MML is a great place to use as a base for all the local "adventures"... More

Even after reading dozens of reviews you never know what you're going to get when you travel to a place you've never been before, especially outside the country. Maya Mountain Lodge is definitely a great find; my girlfriend and I spent 3 nights there and absolutely loved it. Even before we showed up Elmer, one of the managers, emailed back... More

Thank you, Maya Mountain Lodge for making my first trip to Belize such a delight. From the time that Adrian, from CATS, picked us up on time at the airport, the service has been better than that of a four star resort! Everyone here is great; Daniel, Landy, the cooks, Michael and his CATS crew have helped us to have... More

Our only advice is to pay a little more and stay at the cottages if you need. The service at this location is just outstanding. Melody runs administration - like a true professional. Her husband Damian is is such a sweet guy who looks over the traveler and their families very lovingly, They have a beautiful son CJ. His father... More

The Maya Mountain Lodge is neither a lodge nor in the mountains, but it is a cute palapa-style motel with great food. The one-room cottage where I stayed was very basic—comfortable bed, lumpy pillows, table, and dresser. The room was clean and smelled of disinfectant. The windows in the room were shuttered, and I was unable to open them. The... More

Jungle setting with hiking trails, lush vegetation, and lots of birds a mile from the heart of San Ignacio. Cab rides are $5 US each way from "downtown". Food is expensive but wonderful. Staff is friendly and will Gchat with you before your trip. Cabins were renovated but the rooms are shabby. Overall, a great place to spend some time... More
