The Casa Blanca is right in the middle of town and close to some great restaurants, bars, internet cafes, post office and buses. Eva's, one of the best places for breakfast, is right opposite. Guests can also use the kitchen and lounge at the Casa Blanca. The owner is very helpful and went out of her way to organise a... more

The Casa Blanca Guest House is the best hotel in its class in San Ignacio/Santa Elena, Cayo. I have stayed there 5 times now over the years, from a few day to a week. I would not stay anywhere else. I have paid a lot more for a lot less elsewhere in Belize. The hotel is super clean, safe and... more

This hotel was recommended by another traveller who was advised by someone else that it was a very clean, reasonably priced and safe place to stay. We concur. Clean rooms Hot shower Working AC Great kitchen and dining room Centrally located, close to bus and river Would recommend for anyone wanting to cook for themselves as there is a large... more

My wife, two daughters aged 11 and 10, and I stayed at Casa Blanca for three nights in late March, 2008. We arrived there around noon after a dusty, five-hour bus ride from Placencia. After setting our bags down and having lunch at a nearby restaurant, we returned to find our bags neatly placed in a clean, cool, air-conditioned room... more

Location: pretty great, very central in san ignacio to fantastic restaurant across the street, and others on the main strip. san ignacio on the whole is not a charming town and there isnt much to do from there other than plan a trip to guatemala or elsewhere. Rooms: small, with aircon if desired. the room was very clean, but old... more

Excellent location in the center of San Ignacio. Rooms are very nice and extremely clean - you can decide on the spot whether or not to have aircon (for a small difference), we did not have it and definitely felt it was not a problem. The hotel does not offer breakfast or other meals, thought there is a large kitchen... more

I was very impressed with the hotel and the service. If I returned to Western Belize I’d definitely stay there again. Highly recommended as a base for touring the Mayan Ruins out West. The Good: - CasaBlanca had new, clean, tiled floors. Nicest furniture I’ve seen in a standard hotel. - Air Conditioning cooled the room easily and ran very... more

when approaching san ignacio to stay at this hotel, we instantly thought it reminded us of Mexico, something we did not really want, but we ended up being pleasantly surprised. the village is amazingly friendly, and walking through it was a lot of fun at night, seeing the night life. the hotel is in a PERFECT location, we ended up... more

I student taught in San Ignacio for 4 weeks. Because of a few issues while there with where I was staying, my roommate and I moved into Casa Blanca for the last 2 weeks. Because we were traveling around Belize on the weekends and dog-sat for a friend in San Ignacio for a few days, we were always moving around... more

Casa Blanca provides basic accomodations to those using San Ignacio as base for traveling to the nearby attractions, including Tikal and the caves. San Ignacio itself lacks the charm of either Placencia or the Cayes, and is a basically an unpleasant small urban area. Staying at Casa Blanca was good because it's right in the center of town (but is... more
