We stayed at a much more expensive resort in Placencia (5x the $$) and wish that we had decided to stay at the Ranguana as well. We just returned from 2 nights at the Ranguana Lodge. Nice place clean with helpful staff. Sunday night was loud as the band from The Barefoot Bar next door blasted away. They do not have live music every night. Check before you book. We did not get a cabin facing the ocean they charge more for those. No AC but... more

My boyfriend and I booked 3 nights at Ranguana Lodge after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and looking at their website. We're so glad we did; it was cute, clean, inexpensive, and right on the beach. Definitely the best value in Placencia. more
